Matthew Lamb LPC
I work with any adult interested in psychotherapy for personal growth. Sometimes the answers we seek are within us but hidden. I am skilled at bringing these hidden things to light in a kind and compassionate way. My approach to therapy is centered on you as a person. You set the pace and focus, while I bring expertise to the relationship and support you in clarifying your needs and how best to achieve them. I provide reflections, structure, and guidance through your process of self-discovery.
I operate primarily from a cognitive-behavioral (CBT) orientation with a combination of other psychological theories and attention to trauma. I have seen first hand how big and small traumas affect our ability to live the life we want, and I have sought the most effective treatments for resolving this quickly. Specifically, my post-licensure training includes Trauma-Focused CBT, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Motivational Interviewing.
